As a Restoration Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of restoration projects —from initial planning through to completion damaged by fire, water, and other disasters. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. You’ll manage client relationships, coordinate field teams, and ensure project documentation and compliance are meticulously maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple restoration projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope in alignment with client and insurance expectations and company standards
- Lead project kick-off meetings, assign roles and responsibilities, and communicate project objectives to teams
- Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, timelines, and quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to keep projects on track
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, provide support, and resolve on-site challenges
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of project milestones, change orders, and client communications
- Use project management software and apps to manage schedules, reports, and job tracking
- Mentor and support Junior Project Managers, Leads, and site crews in their professional development
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in restoration after emergencies
- Skilled trade or PM certification an asset
- Strong understanding of restoration techniques
- IICRC Certification, minimum Water Damage Restoration (WTR) & Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines concurrently
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
- Proficiency in project management software, MS Office, and app-based documentation tools
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites as needed
- Xactimate and XactAnalysis knowledge an asset
